BUENAVISTA, Guimaras – The Department of Interior and Local Government has introduced a mobile application that can be utilized to report government programs and projects, DILG Project Development Officer Junette Dawn Baculfo said.
An orientation and workshop about the mobile app ‘Development LIVE’ or DevLIVE was provided to over 200 students and faculty of the Guimaras State College (GSC) here during the 2020 Transparency Caravan of the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
“DevLIVE app will allow the public to provide feedback in terms of progress, timeliness, and effectiveness of local infrastructure projects,” she said.
DevLIVE permits its users to observe government projects nearby using a built-in map and an interface project list, view other users’ overall sentiments, take photographs and send feedback to government projects.
“It can also be used offline,” she added. Once the application is installed on the mobile phone, users can still utilize the app even if there is no available internet connection. It also maintains the anonymity of the identities of the users.
According to her, the application will help maximize the participation of citizens by providing a platform that contributes to the monitoring process of government projects through feedback and accurate status information.
The mobile app displays Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) projects and Assistance to Municipalities (AM) local infrastructure projects with details of the project titles, project locations, fund allocations, fiscal years and the GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates.(With a report from PIA/PN)
