ILOILO City – This city is all ready for the two-week celebration of yet another grand Dinagyang Festival and unveiled the full schedule from Jan. 12 to 28, 2024.
Anchored on the theme, “Pagdayaw kay Señor Sto. Niño, Padayaw sang mga Ilonggo”, the world-class festival will have its opening salvo on Jan. 12.
The Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. also announced that eight tribes will vie for the Dinagyang tribes competition crown – the highlights of the festival on Jan. 28 – while seven tribes will compete in the Dinagyang ILOmination on Jan. 26.
Here are the participants for the Dinagyang tribes competition:
* Tribu Ilonganon from Jalandoni Memorial National High School
* Tribu Mandu-riyaw from Mandurriao National High School
* Tribu Paghidaet from La Paz National High School
* Tribu Pan-ay from San Pedro National High School
* Tribu Salognon from Jaro National High School
* Tribu Sigabong from Ramon Avanceña National High School
* Tribu Silak from Iloilo City National High School
* Tribu Taga-Baryo from Bo. Obero National High School
The Dinagyang ILOmination participating tribes are:
* Tribu Arevalo (Kahirup)
* Tribu City Proper (Ilonggohanan)
* Tribu Jaro (Buntag-tala)
* Tribu La Paz (Sagasa)
* Tribu Lapuz (Sidlangan)
* Tribu Mandurriao
* Tribu Molo (IAFA)
Meanwhile, on Oct. 20, the festival’s 100-day countdown began at SM City Iloilo. A “Pamukaw” will follow on Dec. 16, 6 a.m. at the San Jose Parish Placer.

* Jan. 24 – Motorcade of Señor Santo Niño de Cebu
* Jan. 25-28 – Dinagyang Food Festival
* Jan. 26 – Fluvial and Solemn Foot Procession
* Jan. 26 – Dinagyang ILOmination Streetdance Competition and Floats Parade of Lights
* Jan. 27 – Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan
* Jan. 27 – Festive Parade Sponsors’ Mardi Gras
* Jan. 27 – Sadsad sa Calle Real
* Jan. 27 – Grand Religious Sadsad
* Jan. 28 (6 a.m.) – Concelebrated High Mass at the San Jose Parish Placer
* Jan. 28 (7 p.m.) – Awarding Ceremony at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand/PN
