MANILA – Dindin Santiago-Manabat had her best game as Nakhon Ratchasima QminC defeated Pro Flex RSU, 25-16, 25-23, 25-16, in the 2021-22 Volleyball Thailand League at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok.

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers star spearheaded the offense with 19 points, on 16 attacks and three blocks. The Nakhon Ratchasima improved to 6-5 win-loss slate.

It was a huge bounce back game for Santiago-Manabat after being held to just seven markers in Nakhon’s 25-17, 25-19, 25-15 defeat to Diamond Food-Fine Chef Sport Club last Wednesday.

Nakhon’s other Filipina reinforcement in Mylene Paat, however, struggled for the second straight game. She ended up with just four points in limited action.

Covering up for Paat’s limited offensive contribution were local talent Patcharaporn Sittisad at Karina Kraush, who combined for 20 points in the straight set triumph.

Nakhon Ratchasima’s Final Four stint, however, remained iffy as they were currently in a three-way tie with 3BB Nakornnont and Khonkaen Star after the matches over the weekend.

As per the tournament rules, only the top four teams after the double-round competition will make it to the playoffs.

Making it worse for the Nakhon Ratchasima is it will close its regular season on February 20 against the league-leading and undefeated Supreme Chonburi team at 6 pm.

Pro Flex, however, continued its second round struggle as no player hit double-digits on offense against Nakhon, dropping them to 2-9 win-loss slate.

Suthina Pasang, Arisa Promok and Rungruethal Sangsakon were the only bright spots in scoring for Pro Flex as they ended up with eight markers apiece./PN
