Dispatcher threatens to shoot resto officer

ILOILO City – A dispatcher threatened to shoot him, a 34-year-old officer-in-charge of a restaurant in Jaro district told the police.

Rode Nille Ferber of Barangay Sambag, Jaro said he and customer Learve “Jojo” Arez had a misunderstanding at Andok’s on MacArthur Drive, Barangay Tagbac in the district.

Arez then told Ferber, “Indi ka da maggwa sa ubrahan mo kay tiruhon ta ka, diputa ka (Don’t you dare leave your workplace or I’ll shoot you, you son of a bitch),” the complainant told the police.

Ferber further claimed that Arez was drunk during their argument at around 11:44 p.m. on June 3.

A police report described Arez as a 36-year-old dispatcher from Roxas City temporarily residing at the Joroshely Transport Terminal.

Arez cannot be reached for comment as of this writing. (Mariane Camell Braseliño, Intern/PN)
