BACOLOD City – Informal settler families (ISFs) living along Mambuloc Creek will receive P10,000 each after they vacate their structures.

Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said the financial assistance the city would provide is for ISFs to utilize during their transfer to the relocation site.

Meanwhile, city legal officer Romeo Carlos Ting Jr. clarified that the city provided them with a relocation site in Barangay Vista Alegre and not housing.

The Department of Public Works and Highways city engineering district also extended P3,000 to each of the families, Ting added.

A 30-day notice to vacate has been served to the 32 ISFs.

Aside from the 32 ISFs, eight families voluntarily vacated their houses, and financial assistance was also provided to them by the city government.
