ILOILO City – The Department of Energy (DOE) said energy has improved the quality of life of Filipinos. However, energy should also be used responsibly.
In a bid to educate the public on responsible energy usage, the DOE held a Power Patrol Seminar on Energy Efficiency and Conservation yesterday at the Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City.
The seminar aimed to gather Filipinos from the academe, manufacturing companies, commercial industry, transport groups and government agencies, among others, to spread awareness on the importance of energy conservation.
The event’s Bacolod leg featured a talk from Central Negros Electric Cooperative chief of Consumer Services Division Roel C. Venus.
Select teachers, students, information officers and local government units attended the event. (With a report from PIA/PN)
