ILOILO CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 6 is set to begin its regionwide search for outstanding employees or workers in the private sector and services who have shown exemplary performance, leadership, productivity and innovation in their workplace.
The 2nd Search for Outstanding Employees or Workers in the Private Sector will be declared formally open today during the program to be held before the opening of the jobs fair at Robinsons Place Iloilo that will highlight the celebration of the agency’s 83rd Founding Anniversary.
Qualified to join in the search are workers or employees who are endorsed or nominated by their peers or group, or by a Non-Government Organization (NGO) assisting the labor group or by any reputable organization or by their company or establishment complying with labor standards and other DOLE regulations; presently employed in the company or establishment for at least three years; with exemplary work performance proven in their performance rating; promote good labor and management relations; and with good moral character and leadership skills.
DOLE-6 said companies can send as many entries to further encourage their employees to be more productive and cooperative in achieving the objectives and goals of the company.
The search has three categories: small, medium and large companies.
Judges will evaluate the entries guided by the following criteria: 30 percent for work performance; 25 percent for leadership; 25 percent for productivity and innovation; and 20 percent for behavioral performance and character.
DOLE-6 will start accepting entries from Dec. 8 until March 17, 2016. Announcement and awarding of winners will be on May 1, 2017. (PIA)
