TEAMS from Don Bosco Technical Institute – Victorias City dominated the 5th Sinigayan 7-A-side Football Festival after winning the Mix 10 and Under 16 boys divisions at the Sagay City National High School football field in Negros Occidental.
Don Bosco, mentored by Raymand Baldava, bested 10 other teams in the Mix 10. CNN Dolphins FC and Trinity FC settled for second and third places, respectively.
Other teams in Mix 10 were Alfredo Marañon Elementary School, Old Sagay FC A and B, Classico de San Carlos A and B, Victorias FC, B. Puey Elementary School, and Sagay FC.
Don Bosco also ruled the Under 16 with Negros First A and B teams finishing as runners-up on March 11.
Other teams in the category were Old Sagay FC A and B, Sagay FC, Escalante A and B, Villa Angela FC A and B, ELMIS F, PPFACC-Cadiz City, Bulanon, Erbugs, and Bata Tigers.
In Boys 13, Villa Angela A emerged as the category’s champion after dominating 15 other contenders. Classico de San Carlos and B. Puey ES finished as runners-up.
Living Stone International School captured the Girls 18 division as Team Millennial and Sagay FC A ended up as first and second runners-up. Tokhang Team B ruled Men’s 35 Up while Silay FC and Escalante A settled for runner-up finishes.
The two-day football event was part of Sagay City’s annual fiesta in honor of St. Joseph the Worker and its sports tourism program./PN
