ROXAS City, Capiz – Private sectors in this city took initiative to conduct a donation drive to gather gadgets for online learning of students who have no budget to buy one.

Dubbed as “Gadget para sa wala Budget,” the group initially aimed to gather 100 gadgets for poot students.

The donation drive in coordination with the city government got overwhelmed response that they were able to gather 200 gadgets, thus, 200 students too were able to receive the free gadgets.

Ini ang rason nga nadihon ini nga initiative,” explained Miggy Dadivas, one of the program advocates.

The distribution of the gadgets started on Monday until Oct. 4.

Meanwhile, the group has so far received more or less 700 applicants who wanted to be one of the beneficiaries of the project.

All of the applicants are subjected to thorough validation to screen the most qualified.

The group will be prioritizing the high school and college students since elementary students’ learning system is Modular Distance Learning.
