ILOILO City – Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo was relieved as director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) effective Aug. 8.
He would be replaced by Brigadier General Leo Francisco.
Dongbo was given a new assignment – the Directorate for Logistics of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame.
Dongbo was assigned to the PRO-6 in Nov. 10, 2021 replacing retired Major General Rolando Miranda.
His new Camp Crame assignment is deemed a career promotion.
Francisco, on the other hand, was a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1992 and had been the director of Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon).
Prior to his assignment here, he was the chief of the Manila Police District (MPD).
Dongbo was part of 70 police officers in the entire police organization who were reshuffled after the newly installed PNP chief, General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., assumed his post.
“Alam ko naman na after elections ma-relieve ako. I have to move out for a higher post,” he said.
He thanked the people in Western Visayas for their helpful to the PRO-6./PN
