ILOILO City – The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 6 and Rafael’s La Cocina del Sur will organize a three-day event dubbed the Western Visayas Tabu-an Street Food and Market Festival from Dec. 16 to 18 at the Iloilo City Hall executive parking, Plaza Libertad, Iloilo City.

DOT-6 aims to promote and raise the status of Western Visayas’ street food to a level where even tourists will experience and enjoy it.

The event will bring together notable street food, other culinary offerings and local products and produce in one place.

In connection with the Month of Overseas Filipinos and International Migrants Day Celebration, DOT-6 will also host a program and activities to honor overseas Filipinos and their families on Dec. 16 at the staging area of the market festival.

The agency will also provide freebies and meal coupons to the first 500 participants. Pre-registration at the DOT-6 office is encouraged./PN
