BACOLOD City – A 78-year-old double-murder suspect was arrested in Barangay Bug-ang, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
Luiz “Nonoy” Zamora was a resident of Barangay Bato, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Operatives from the Toboso police station and the 61st Special Action Company caught Zamora around 7 a.m. on Sept. 27.
Regional Trial Court Branch 60 (Cadiz City) Judge Raymond Joseph Javier issued the arrest warrant against him on Jan. 25.
Javier recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty.
On the same day, another resident of Toboso was arrested in Barangay Poblacion in the town around 8 a.m.
Ike Elarcosa, 46, was charged with violating the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004 in Region 10.
Regional Trial Court Branch 1 (Butuan City) Judge Eduard Casals issued the arrest warrant against Elarcosa on March 30. The court recommended P80,000 for the latter’s temporary liberty./PN
