DoubleDragon installs 1,098 solar panels in DoubleDragon Plaza, DD Meridian Park

DoubleDragon Properties Corp. inaugurated in late May the solar installation at the rooftop of DoubleDragon Plaza and DD Meridian Park.

The 1,098-panel high efficiency solar installation was designed and installed by FP Island Energy Corporation (FPI Energy), a wholly owned subsidiary of First Philippine Holdings (FPH). On an annual basis, this solar installation is expected to displace 418 tons of CO2, equaling to over 13,565 trees planted.

“We endeavor to build sustainable and eco-friendly structures that will blend well with the community and should remain productive and relevant in the next 100 years,” said DoubleDragon Chairman Edgar “Injap” Sia II.

“DoubleDragon expects to soon host 100 megawatts of solar power on its various properties across the country which will add considerable additional revenues to the company,” said DoubleDragon Chief Investment Officer Hannah Yulo.

DoubleDragon has been focused on both the execution of its real estate projects as well as enhancing operational efficiencies and optimization of its investment yields.

The first 5 office towers in DD Meridian Park is now 100 percent leased out and currently hosts over 20,000 employees of its tenants. The tenant employee population is expected to grow to over 50,000 by the end of next year which will further boost the customer base of its retail tenants.

DoubleDragon Plaza is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver pre-certified in line with DoubleDragon’s core values in promoting sustainable developments through green technology.

DoubleDragon Plaza at DD Meridian Park is now starting to become a food destination with its wide variety of food selections such as Pho24, Jollibee, Mang Inasal, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Burger King, Islas Pinas, Highlands Coffee, J.Co Donuts, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Clydes Bread & Pastries, Gerry’s Grill, Ramen Kuroda, Ajisen Ramen, Nine One, Go! Salads, Infinitea, Baskin Robbins, Turks, Wok2Go, Sichu Malatang, Wow Cow Hotpot, Romantic Baboy Korean BBQ, Tim Ho Wan, Bowl Master, 7 Eleven, Ministop, Mary Grace, and Osaka Takoyaki. DoubleDragon Plaza also hosts the recently opened first milestone MerryMart Grocery which now provides a great assortment of products to the consumers within the DD Meridian Complex and the neighboring Bay area community.

The company targets to complete a leasable portfolio of 1.2 Million square meters by 2020 comprising of 700,000 square meters from 100 CityMalls, 300,000 square meters from its Metro Manila office projects DD Meridian Park and Jollibee Tower, 100,000 square meters from the pipeline 5,000 hotel rooms of Hotel101 and Jinjiang Inn Philippines, and another 100,000 square meters of industrial space from various CentralHub sites across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
