IT WAS an exciting coffee cup cheers when some faces in politics sat down to have their common menu and discuss the disqualification case of presidential aspirant Bongbong. A political strategist, councilor, ex-mayor and a lawyer joined in the two-hour sipping of their coffee cups.

The councilor started the ball rolling: “What happens if Bongbong were disqualified? Will the Comelec be able to exercise its powers on the power lawyers of BBM?”
“Commissioners Rowena Guanzon and Antonio Kho are set to retire on the second day of February,” the ex-mayor mentioned. “Guanzon is said to be an Aquino appointee. Talks say an Aquino is married to a Guanzon,” he added.

“Now guys what could have happened if Bongbong were disqualified? Will Leni be the rightful choice? This VP has no executive political experience at all so how can she be the rightful choice or option?” the political strategist expressed.
“My thinking puts Ping as the better option if a DQ occurs. Ping has a long experience as an elective legislator and a PNP chief, giving him an edge in experience over the rest of the presidential aspirants. Or Isko could be,” the strategist added.

“I agree on that. Isko and Pacman lack the exposure yet but Isko is a better option over the boxer who is a generous person. But executive leadership is not all generosity,” the councilor said. “It is sad for Bongbong who is always tagged as a family member who stashed away the wealth of the nation. Well, true or otherwise he was a young boy during his father’s rule. How could he admit something he does not fully know,” added the ex-mayor.

“You know why many ex-Cabinet members are supporting Leni? Because they all aspire to be part of Leni’s Cabinet if the lady wins. She needs a power-packed team of Cabinet members and advisers due to her lack of political experience,” the councilor stressed. “Yes, and most of her advisers will come from the Liberal Party and the so-called Yellow group or Dilawan. The sad part is she will just conform to these advisers just like what people say of PNoy and Cor,” the strategist emphasized.
“For me, the two Aquino presidents were good persons, but their circle of advisers took advantage of their positions and ruined the nation,” the lawyer butted in.
“You know, if the leader lacks leadership knowledge she will just depend on her advisers who mostly have personal interests in government affairs,” the councilor said.

“Among the presidential aspirants, only Bongbong, Ping and Isko have s long experience in government politics and intrigues, and they know the ballgame,” the lawyer said.
“I am convinced why former government leaders would support aspirants who do not carry much political experience; in this way there are chances for them to be designated and be in power again,” said the strategist. “The former advisers of the Aquinos and Arroyo and Estrada are waiting to be picked up and enjoy their political lifestyle…again.”/PN
