ILOILO City – A man was stabbed to death by his drinking buddy in Barangay Tungay, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Rolando Santos of Barangay Zone IV, Sta. Barbara succumbed to multiple stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Tagged suspect was Cherry Ajeno, a resident of the same village.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 20.
From what the Sta. Barbara police gathered so far, Santos and Ajeno were having a drinking binge when a heated argument ensued between them. This prompted Ajeno to attack Santos using a bladed weapon.
The suspect was arrested and detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station. Charges will be filed against him./PN
