BACOLOD City – A 44-year-old man was shot in the head by his drinking buddy in Barangay Ayungon, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Hernani Aginda of Barangay Batuan, La Carlota City died.
The suspect, Edgardo Molines, 62, was a retired army officer.
Molines told the police Aginda went home but came back at around 9:30 p.m. on May 21 with a bladed weapon (tagad) and smashed the suspect’s chicken cage.
He further claimed that Aginda shouted, “Waay ko gani nahadlok sa pulis, sa army pa!”
The suspect said he told the victim to stop and go home, but the victim kicked the door to forcibly enter. This prompted him to shoot Aginda, Molines said.
The suspect surrendered his .45 firearm.
