BACOLOD City – A drinking session turned out to be the last for a laborer in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog , Negros Occidental.
Vincent Flores, 23, succumbed to fatal injuries on the head, a police report showed.
Genesis Villaruz, 27, allegedly struck Flores’ head with a stone over a misunderstanding during a drinking spree around 8 p.m. on Dec. 6.
Flores was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Villaruz, on the other hand, was detained in the lockup cell of the Ilog municipal police station, facing a homicide charge./PN
