ILOILO City – A 25-year-old driver woke up to find his bag missing.
Mark Babarano confronted a possible suspect but the latter denied taking anything from him, a police report showed.
A resident of Zone I, Barangay San Juan, Molo, Babarano complained to the district police station that he found his black sling bag missing upon waking up at around 5 a.m. on April 8.
Among the contents of the bag were:
* professional driver’s license
* official receipt/certificate of registration of a Honda TMX motorcycle
* Social Security System identification card
* PhilHealth ID
* Pag-IBIG ID
* P6,000 cash
Babarano claimed he placed his bag beside him as he dozed off on their sofa.
He told his neighbors about his missing sling bag and they told him that someone entered their house at around 1 a.m. that day.
The 21-year-old Joseph “Negro” Moises, who was temporarily staying at a neighbor’s house, wanted to buy ice at Babarano’s. He was binge drinking with several others in a house next to theirs, the complainant told the police, citing his neighbors.
Babarano said he confronted Moises about his missing sling bag but the latter denied taking anything from their house and left.
Moises cannot be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
