ILOILO City – A car driver was spending for the hospitalization of a 60-year-old man he accidentally hit, a police report showed.
The 49-year-old Edwin Caminian of Barangay Cadinglian, Oton, Iloilo was detained at the municipal police station.
He accidentally hit Inejenio Lauresta with his Toyota Innova in Barangay Poblacion, Oton on Saturday.
Lauresta, a resident of Barangay Poblacion East, Oton, complained of pain on various parts of the body. He was confined in the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao.
The victim was crossing the road when he was hit at around 7 a.m., stated the police report.
Caminian was released from detention after agreeing to shoulder the hospital bills of Lauresta./PN
