BACOLOD City – A suspected operator of a drug den and five individuals were arrested in a sting operation in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Western Visayas swooped down at the port area in Barangay 6, San Carlos City where they arrested six persons led by drug den maintainer Rhoy Traspadillo around 2 p.m.
Also apprehended were Kim Batusin, Antonio Jakosalem, Jayfred Bendecio, Jobert Señerez, and Irish Joper Magpantay.
Recovered from their possession were suspected shabu weighing about 20 grams, cellphones and drug paraphernalia.
Joint forces of the PDEA provincial offices in Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Capiz, and Negros Oriental staged the operation.
The PDEA-Western Visayas said the suspects face charges for violation of Article II, Section 6 (maintenance of a drug den), Section 7 (visitors of a drug den), Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), and Section 12 (possession of paraphernalia for dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
