Drug den yields P81-T ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu weighing about 12 grams was recovered at a drug den in Purok Yellow, Barangay Candao-ay, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The suspected illegal drugs valued at around P81,600 were confiscated from Mark Anthony Benigno Sr., Jaime Delobio and Alvin Deposto, a police report showed.

Antidrug operatives arrested the suspects after they sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500 around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Joel Patajo and Edward Torres, drug den visitors, were also nabbed, the report added.

Aside from the suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia were also seized.

The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Dumaguete City police station.

They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
