BACOLOD City – A relative of a convicted drug lord evaded the police out to arrest him in an illegal drug buy-bust operation.
Jagger Reston Cuadra rushed to the back of their house in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 after selling a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, Police Station 2 commander, said all the police recovered were the following:
* two more plastic packs of similar substance
* several open plastic packs with traces of suspected shabu
* P1,000 buy-bust money
* a pair of scissors
* lighters
Barangay 2 captain Victor Aliguin and councilman Romeo Canlas witnessed the operation.
Police said the suspect was a relative of drug convict Jose Kim “Boy” Cuadra, who was now serving lifetime imprisonment at the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila.
Boy Cuadra operated in this city and Western Visayas in the ’90s until his arrest in Aklan. (Mae Singuay and Cyrus Garde/PN)
