Drug ops net P500,000 ‘illegal drugs’

BACOLOD City – Over P500,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated Sunday in two separate operations here.

In Barangay 8, 27-year-old Tommy Flores, a “high value” drug suspect, was arrested around 12:55 a.m. by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 6.

He yielded P340,000 worth of suspected shabu, a police report showed.

PDEA  took custody of Flores, a resident of Barangay Villamonte.

On the other hand, two persons were arrested around 6 p.m. in Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Suspected shabu valued at P183,600 were recovered from Joseph Gonzales, 46, of Barangay Mansilingan and Willyzer Colanggo, 33, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, a police report showed.

They were taken to Police Station 8.  

All suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
