ILOILO City – A drug pushing suspect was arrested in an anti-drug operation in Barangay Baldoza, La Paz district.
The 29-year-old Kenneth Abello, a resident of the village, was caught by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) around 10:10 p.m. on Monday.
According to the police, the suspect initially sold a big sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P3,000.
A total of P13,600 worth of alleged illegal drugs were recovered from his possession, a police report showed.
Abello was also the subject of a buy-bust operation at Don Esteban, La Paz but he was able to escape, police added.
The suspect was detained at the La Paz police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
