Drug rehab program graduate falls in drug op

BACOLOD City – A 22-year-old graduate of a drug rehabilitation program in Victorias City, Negros Occidental was arrested for illegal drug selling and possession.

Douglas Arceo Gayotin of Barangay 9, Victorias City was caught in a buy-bust operation at around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday on Osmeña Avenue, Barangay 13, Victorias City.

Chief Inspector Eduardo Corpuz, Victorias police head, identified Gayotin as a graduate of the voluntary outpatient program for drug dependents dubbed “Pag-amlig” and at the same time a “high-value target” in their campaign against drugs.

Six plastic packs of suspected shabu with a market value of P5,000, drug paraphernalia, the P400 buy-bust money, and P280 cash were seized from the suspect, police said.

Gayotin faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
