BACOLOD City – About P1.7 million worth of alleged illegal drugs was recovered from a couple in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Estefania yesterday.
Joint operatives of Police Station 4 and City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office caught 35-year-old Christine Vivero while her husband Edwin managed to flee.
Fifty-nine sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money and other drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspect’s possession around 1 a.m., a police report showed.
Christine was detained in the custodial facility of Police Station 4, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
