BACOLOD City – Police were not able to nab a drug suspect in a sting operation in Punta Rojas, Barangay 6, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 44-year-old resident Ron “Porokoy” Reyes evaded arrest after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, police said.
Reyes is listed as a “high-value” drug target in the Kabankalan City police station.
He managed to run away from arresting officers by using the backdoor of his house, said Kabankalan City police head Superintendent Jonel Guadalupe.
The police recovered seven sachets of suspected illegal drugs valued around P12,000 from Reyes.
A manhunt was launched against the suspect, who was still at large as of this writing./PN
