Bacolod City – A man was found dead in Barangay Cabug.
The fatality was identified as 35-year-old Virgilio Lopez of Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Lopez sustained gunshot wounds on the head, the report added.
He was found lifeless around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 30.
Eleven empty shells of .45-caliber firearm, three fired bullets and a sachet of suspected shabu were recovered from the crime scene, police said.
According to police investigators, Lopez was allegedly involved in illegal drug trade.
The victim’s body was brought to a local mortuary for a “post-mortem” examination.
Meanwhile, officers of Police Station 9 have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the incident./PN
