AKLAN – Police apprehended a street-level drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Numancia town.
The 37-year-old Archie Marcelo Cerrano, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Lezo town, allegedly sold plastic sachets of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P10,000 in Sitio Karabaw, Barangay Pusiw at around 9:25 p.m. on November 15.
Operatives of Aklan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led by Major Frensy Andrade were able to recover a total of 19 small plastic sachets of suspected shabu, two sachets containing dried marijuana leaves, drug paraphernalia, and a caliber .45 pistol with ammunition.
The suspect is facing charges for illegal sale and possession of dangerous drugs, as defined under Sections 5 and 11, respectively, of Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 and illegal possession of firearms, as defined under Section 28(a) in relation to par. (e) of RA No. 10591./PN
