ILOILO City – Policemen caught the manager of a peryahan (gaming kiosk) in the act of selling shabu to an undercover cop in a buy-bust operation Saturday night at the public plaza of Molo district.
John Recabar, 43, of Barangay Poblacion, Leganes, Iloilo yielded four plastic sachets of suspected shabu and P300 buy-bust money, according to Molo police chief, Senior Insp. Rio Maymay.
The suspect had been under police surveillance for three weeks prior to the buy-bust operation.
Recarbar was detained at the Molo police station.
A suspected companion of Recabar was arrested, too. Redgel Tuarez, 22, was a resident of Molo.
Molo celebrated its fiesta on Saturday.
According to Maymay, a tipster informed them that Recabar was selling illegal drugs to customers.
“When we confirmed the information, we conducted the buy-bust operation,” he said. (With a report from Ruby Silubrico/PN)
