Drug suspects fall in Roxas, Panitan

ROXAS City – Two drug suspects were arrested in separate police operations in Capiz.

One of them is the 46-year-old Isidro Palma Jr., according to Roxas City police head Superintendent Dante Tayco.

Tayco said elements of the City Drug Enforcement Unit caught Palma around 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 13 in Barangay Bolo.

Palma sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P1,000.

Recovered from his possession were eight sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P15,000, a cellphone and drug paraphernalia, police said.

The other drug suspect identified as the 29-year-old Barangay Concencia, Panitan, Capiz resident Rene Reynaldo was arrested on the same day.

Reynaldo – a newly identified drug personality – was arrested in Pontevedra, Capiz.

Recovered from his possession were two sachets of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.

Palma and Reynaldo were detained in the lockup cells of the Roxas City police station and Pontevedra police station, respectively.

They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
