ILOILO City – A drunk laborer, armed with an unlicensed gun, shot two barangay tanods Thursday night in Barangay Nanding Lopez, Dumangas, Iloilo but missed, and is now detained at the Dumangas police station.
Suspect Allan Herradura, 30, has been identified by the complaining tanods as the person who was shouting and demonstrating unruly behavior, thereby compelling them to rush to the scene and pacify the drunken man.
The moment tanods Joel Ferrer and Danilo Benigno reached the scene to arrest him, however, Herradura fired several shots at them but missed.
Police Officer 1 Arman Ferrer arrived and confiscated the suspect’s .357 revolver.
Senior Inspector Charlie Sustento said Herradura would be facing charges for attempted murder, possession of unlicensed gun and resisting arrest./PN
