ILOILO City – A drunken husband stabbed dead his wife in Barangay Balibagan Oeste, Santa Barbara, Iloilo yesterday.
The wife, 76-year-old Thelma Tolosa, earned the ire of husband Joseph, 71, for scolding him around 6:45 a.m., according to Chief Inspector Rogelio Ortigas of Santa Barbara.
Thelma died of a stab wound on the chest.
Ortigas said Joseph surrendered to the police but not before trying to flee.
“Malagyo tani ang suspect pero nakita siya sang barangay officials,” Ortigas said.
Joseph used a six-inch knife on his wife. He was detained at the Santa Barbara police station./PN
