ILOILO City – In Barangay San Antonio, Barbaza, Antique a drunken man was arrested for indiscriminate firing and illegal gun possession.
Jun Arevalo, 43, was detained at the Barbaza police station on Tuesday night.
According to San Antonio village chief Roberto Talagtag, the suspect fired a gun twice and this alarmed neighbors.
Responding policemen apprehended Arevalo and seized the gun. The suspect failed to show documents proving his legal ownership of the weapon.
Arevalo faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
