BACOLOD City – A drunken man was stabbed to death in Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 23-year-old resident Noel Cañete.
His 64-year-old neighbor Wilfredo Condor was tagged suspect.
According to police investigators, an altercation happened between Cañete and his wife. Condor tried to pacify the both, but he was pushed by the former into a fence.
This prompted Condor to stab Cañete using a bladed weapon.
The victim was rushed to the Immaculate Concepcion Health Center in the city where he was later declared dead.
The suspect, meanwhile, was detained in the custodial facility of the Victorias City police station, facing charges./PN
