ILOILO – A 54 year-old man drowned while swimming in a beach resort in Barangay Baguingin, Tigbauan town around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 26.
Julio Montaña, a resident of Barangay Janipaan Este, Cabatuan town, was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
According to Police Master Sergeant Amy Acebedo of Tigbauan police station, Montaña went to the beach resort with his family.
The victim was already drunk when they arrived at the area, Acebedo added./PN
