ILOILO City – The Department of Trade and Industry(DTI) Region 6 will conduct a one-day forum on product standards and conformance from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the DTI-6 Audio Visual Room on J.M. Basa Street.
The activity is in coordination with the Philippine Association of Black Iron-Galvanized Iron Steel Pipes and Tubes Manufacturers, Philippine Steelmakers Association, Philippine Electric Wire Manufacturers, Inc., Flat Glass Alliance of the Philippines, Panasonic Industries and Ceramic Tiles/Sanitary Ware Manufacturers, Inc., Manila.
The forum, which is for free, will update hardware store owners, local suppliers, contractors, builders and staff handling issuance of building permits in local government units, on the importance of product standards conformance and/ or the bad result on using substandard products and materials at home, business and industry.
Each company will speak to discuss the importance of product quality, safety and conformance with the Philippine National Standards./PN
