SAN JOSE, Antique – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here will start next week the price monitoring of Noche Buena products.
Glen Fernando, trade and development specialist of DTI-Antique, said on Wednesday they have received the new suggested retail price (SRP) for Noche Buena products last week.
The new SRP was immediately distributed to retail stores in the province.
“Retailers are being reminded that they should sell their products within the SRP,” Fernando said.
He added that aside from price monitoring, the DTI-Antique will also encourage retailers to validate if the Christmas lights they are selling are of certified brands.
Fernando said the Philippine Standard (PS) and the Import Commodity Clearance sticker will let retailers and consumers know if the products are certified brands.
“The PS mark is proof that the product has passed the Bureau of Product Standard,” he added, saying that retailers should also post their Philippine Standard Safety Certification mark.
Fernando said the monitoring of Noche Buena products and Christmas lights will last until the end of December 2019.(With a report from PNA/PN)
