GUIMARAS – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here is hosting a two-day “Maagang Pamasko Diskwento 2023” to provide residents with access to discounted goods. The event started on Tuesday morning, Nov. 28, in Barangay Dasal and at the Sibunag town hall.
Consumers have the opportunity to purchase prime and basic necessities, including noche buena products, at reduced prices.
Five stores from Barangay San Miguel, Jordan town, are participating in the caravan, offering various deals such as discounts, bundling, and freebies on selected grocery items, electrical supplies, and medicines.
After its stint in Sibunag, the caravan moves to Barangay Cabano and the municipal grounds of San Lorenzo today, Nov. 29.
DTI-Guimaras is encouraging the residents of San Lorenzo town to take advantage of these deals to achieve greater value for their money.
The “Diskwento” caravan is part of a nationwide initiative, often conducted in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and local government units. These events aim to provide essential goods at prices equal to or lower than the suggested retail prices.
The initiative is designed to be like a rolling store, bringing products closer to consumers while also offering a market for MSME manufacturers. (Panay News)/PN
