ROXAS City – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched another Negosyo Center for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Jamindan, Capiz.
Six others were already put up in various parts of the province – in Pueblo de Panay and towns of Pontevedra, Mambusao, Sigma, Tapaz, and Dao.
“These Negosyo Centers will foster MSMEs in generating jobs and income,” said DTI provincial director Ermelinda Pollentes.
The centers will provide technical, marketing and managerial assistances from the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Interior and Local Government and the DTI to MSME owners.
The MSME Development Council, in collaboration with the government agencies, conducted seminar workshops to emerging entrepreneurs.
The establishment of Negosyo centers is pursuant to Republic Act 10644, or the Go Negosyo Act, which aims to create more jobs and increase trade and production through MSMEs. (PIA/PN)
