‘Duel’ in Kalibo leads to injuries

ILOILO – A man hacked another in Barangay Tigayon, Kalibo, Aklan. The latter shot the former in retaliation.

Tigayon villagers Raul Rogar, 52, and Felicisimo Dionglay, 55, were injured after a fight on Wednesday.

A heated argument ensued between them when they came across each other at around 12:15 p.m., a police report showed.

Rogar, armed with a sugarcane cutter, hacked Dionglay on the neck.

Dionglay got back at Rogar by shooting him on the left shoulder.

Both were taken to the Panay Health Care Multipurpose Cooperative Hospital for the treatment of their wounds.

In Barangay Madrangaca, San Jose, Antique, two people were caught in an antidrug operation.

Three plastic packs of suspected shabu were seized from residents Leovie Cainap, 31, and Ma. Lyn Pacure, 43.

These were on top of the sachet of suspected shabu they sold to an undercover officers for P2,000 at 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, the San Jose police said.

Cainap and Pacure face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They were detained at the San Jose police station./PN
