ILOILO — The police station of Dueñas town topped the first quarter performance evaluation of police units in the province this year.
For this feat, Dueñas police chief, Insp. Bonifacio Alabe received, on behalf of his police force, citations (Best in Administration, Best in Human Resource Development Section and Best in Police Community Relations) during the recent awarding ceremony at the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
The Pototan police station under Senior Insp. Aron Palomo was adjudged Best in Operations.
Badiangan police station under Senior Insp. Dennis Pamonag was Best in Investigation.
The Lambunao police station was Best in Intelligence.
Passi City police station under Supt. Hector Maestral was hailed as Best Police Station.
The Best in Children and Women’s Desk award went to the Pavia police station.
The 4th Maneuver Platoon was cited as Best Maneuver Platoon.
The Estancia police station under Senior Insp. Lorenez Losaria was cited for having arrested the most number of drug pushers.
IPPO director, Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas said this quarterly award is a challenge to all police chiefs to work harder.
“If our policemen are dedicated, we have to acknowledge their good performance,” Salinas said.
Cong. Arcadio Gorriceta of the 2nd District of Iloilo, the guest speaker during the awarding ceremony, distributed handheld radios to the awardees.
Gorriceta recently gave P100,000 for bullet reloading.
He vowed to give a reloading machine to the IPPO for the cops to be efficient in their marksmanship.
“For as long as our policemen are working hard for the peace and order not only in the 2nd District but in whole province, we have to help them,” Gorriceta said./PN
