Dumangas buy-bust yields P340K ‘shabu’, gun, ammos

ILOILO – Tagged as a high-value target, a 47-year-old man was apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation on Wednesday night, August 21, in Barangay Pulao, Dumangas town.

Alias “Atong”, a resident of the aforementioned barangay, was caught by joint operatives of the Dumangas Municipal Police Station and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit after he handed over to a poseur buyer suspected shabu for P13,700.

Police seized a total of nine heat-sealed and one knot-tied plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 50 grams and valued at approximately P340,000.

Also recovered were caliber .38 revolver and 13 live ammunition.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Dumangas MPS.

He is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
