MANILA – Aurora Cruz Ignacio was hailed as the new Social Security System President and Chief Executive Officer (PCEO) by President Rodrigo R. Duterte last March 28.
She is currently the chairperson of the governing body of the state-run pension fund replacing Emmanuel Dooc whose resignation took effect last March 6. Last Month, the president signed into law which allows the increase in SSS contribution by one percentage point every other year until it becomes 15 percent by the year 2025 surpassing this year’s contribution rate at 11 percent.
