BACOLOD City – President Rodrigo Duterte will be here for one of the highlights of the 40th edition of the MassKara Festival, mayor Evelio Leonardia said.
According to Leornardia, the President is tentatively scheduled to come in Bacolod on Oct. 25.
It will be the President’s fourth time to visit Bacolod. He was here last year when he opened the festival, which is considered as one of must see events in the country.
Leornardia said that his office was in “constant communication” with the Palace since Duterte earlier agreed to grace the festivity.
Leornardia added that the city’s police force has rolled out its contingency plan in place in a bid to maintain the peace and order situation during the festival highlights.
He appealed to the public to cooperate as tighter security measures will be enforced during the final week of the festivities./PN
