MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte will reveal the names of ‘ninja cops’ or those police officials involved in the recycling of seized illegal drugs upon returning from his Russia trip.
Senator Christopher “Bong” Go said in an interview over the weekend that the President is just making last minute checks on the list that was provided by the Senate before making it public.
“Nagkausap po kami ni Pang. Duterte at plano niya pagka-balik niya mula sa biyahe niya sa Russia, ay ilalabas na po ’yung ninja cops. May mga pinapasilip lang po siya,” Go said.
The Senate last week has agreed to release the name of the so-called “ninja cops,” who were revealed by former Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Benjamin Magalong in an executive session.
According to Senate Blue Ribbon committee chair Richard Gordon, Magalong is set to reveal the names of the rogue officers he already bared in an executive session at the Senate last week.
Magalong and other police officers linked to the controversy are set to face a Senate hearing Tuesday./PN
