BACOLOD City – An eatery in Purok Progreso, Barangay Sum-ag suffered extensive damage from a fire on Thursday night, April 29.
The fire started at around 9:10 p.m. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) received a fire call some three minutes after.
According to Ninfa Esparar, owner of the eatery, they were preparing to close for the night when her daughter Angeline Julido shouted fire.
The fire reached “1st Alarm” status and lasted for some 30 minutes before a “fire out” was declared at 9:41 p.m.
BFP investigators said the fire originated at the ground floor’s northeastern portion.
Damage was pegged at P75,000.
