BACOLOD City – The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI) is set to host an economic conference aimed at unlocking private investment opportunities in the Negros Island Region (NIR).
Scheduled for January 21, the event will be held at a hotel in this city under the theme, “Attracting Private Investments for NIR to Alleviate the Poverty Problem.”
The conference will feature a distinguished roster of speakers, led by renowned Filipino economist and writer Bernardo Villegas, who will share his insights alongside other industry experts.
Frank Carbon, MBCCI vice president for government affairs, said the discussions will focus on three critical areas: the economic prospects of the NIR, opportunities in agribusiness and entrepreneurship, and the investment outlook for real estate and infrastructure development.
“This conference presents a unique opportunity for business leaders, investors, and stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions about NIR’s economic future,” Carbon stated.
The full-day event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering actionable insights and valuable networking opportunities./PN
