BACOLOD City – Police nabbed eight persons for illegal cockfighting in Barangay 13.
Arnel Ebar, 55; Risty Mellogo, 33; Rakim Ulah, 34; Joel Romano, 60; Jonathan La Chica, 50; Loren Tinga, 24; Antonio Noble, 68; and Jose Tubod, 61, were caught around 11:20 a.m. on July 12, police said.
Recovered from the suspects were bet money which amounted to P1,670, six live fighting cocks and two dead fighting cocks.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of Police Station 1, facing charges./PN
