ILOILO City – Police caught a 64-year-old man wielding a firearm while in a heated argument with his wife.
Jaime Arquiola of Barangay Montpiller, Buenavista, Guimaras was arrested.
He faces a charge for violation of the gun ban imposed by the Commission on Elections for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, a police report showed.
Arquiola was armed with a homemade .38 revolver while in a “verbal tussle” with wife Lea, police said.
He also faces an illegal possession of a firearm charge, the police added.
Arquiola was taken to the Buenavista police station after his arrest at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday./PN
